The medical services of the VPHCS for its many indigent patients in the communities got a bigger boost with medicines, medical equipment and supplies donated by the Fil-Am Center for Community Health and Development (FACCHD) brought by the Treasurer of its Board of Trustees, Engr. Pete Mortera during his visit to the Philippines this January.
The medicines included those for common illnesses that will be beneficial to VPHCS beneficiaries who cannot afford essential care which has become more costly. The blood pressure apparatus will be used by VPHCS volunteer doctors, nurses and health students during its medical missions in the communities.
Packs of blood glucose monitoring strips were also donated which will be useful for diabetic patients in the communities.
